Exam and diagnosis
Part of your routine dental care, along with having your teeth cleaned by the dental hygienist, includes having a complete dental exam performed by your dentist.
It is important to be checked regularly by your dentist (at least every year or whatever is recommended based on the health of your mouth).
CBCT (cone beam computed tomography):
It is a type of X-ray equipment that is used when dental or facial x-rays are not enough to correctly visualize the desired area. This technology allows to produce three-dimensional images of the teeth, soft tissues and the trajectory of the patient’s nerves and bones. So, this is a highly qualified radiological exploration to make a good diagnosis.
Dental computed tomography allows to produce detailed images, necessary to be able to explore the area and to be able to plan treatment through images of high resolution and contrast.
